Rabbi Michele Lenke was truly a blessing to have officiate our wedding. Throughout the process, she was incredible to work with. I had known her since she was part of the clergy at my childhood temple and had been there at my Bat Mitzvah, however, she did not know my fiancé nor our relationship as a couple. She met with us several times either in person or on the phone, since we lived several hours away. She took the time to understand our story and what we meant to one another. She listened and counseled us on how to get through the hectic wedding planning stresses and also how to get through the strains that come to a marriage down the road. She helped to advise us in our decisions on what religious elements and traditions we wanted to include in our ceremony and those we did not. But above all, she took the stories we shared with her about the love we had for one another and those things about us as a couple and magically turned them into the most beautiful wedding ceremony. It was more than we could have asked for. To this day, guests of our wedding still tell me they have never attended such a personal and distinctive ceremony that really showed the love we had for one another, we owe that all to Rabbi Lenke.
